Displaced to be noticed
The site: the exterior walls at the Gewürzmühle, Zug
Inspiration and aim:
Inspired by the contrasting brick rough textures that frame the Veronese green tinted wooden doors at Gewürzmühle site, I decided to reproduce small portions of the stunning surfaces to later install them in a displaced position in order to emphasise their visual beauty.
When objects are displaced from their natural context, their visual impact can be stronger; in the same way they are not perceived if camouflaged in their own environment.
